About me

I’ve spent most of my career working around coordinate measuring machines (CMMs) that measure manufactured components with nanometer accuracy levels.
Over the years, I learned how to get the best performance possible out of each CMM, and understand when things are not going right.
When I got my first 3d printer a few years ago, I realized that many of these concepts transfer to 3d printing, as well.
I’ve spent the last several years learning how to optimize the performance of my 3d printer. The more I learn, the more I want to share my findings with others to help the get the best performance out of the printers. My goal is to create a resource I wish I had when I was getting started.
